Jim N I Metal Massacre was founded in 2005 by David (The Engraver) Platz and I. At that time we were in the band, Beneath the Scars, and were starting to build some momentum in the scene. We played a benefit show at Jim N I Country Music Park and immediately saw the potential of an outdoor venue that allowed camping and BYOB.

When we started to discuss Metal Massacre our goal was to create an event where bands and fans can come together as one and have a great time. It was not about making money or gaining notoriety, it was about embracing the local music scene and celebrating all the amazing people that are a part of it.
